The Y is excited to introduce the Evolt 360 Body Composition Scanner – a tool that uses the most up-to-date scientific information to provide you with personalised measurements.

An Evolt body scan gives you a comprehensive understanding of your body, with measurements across 40 different aspects. It gives you current, relevant, and specific information so you can enhance areas of your health and fitness.

Important Information before you scan

Please download the Evolt Active app before you come to your scan. This is where your personalised information will be sent, and where you can track changes over time.

If your scan is in the morning please ensure you

  • Fast (no breakfast)
  • Have a glass of water (600ml) an hour before you scan
  • Empty bowels/bladder before your scan
  • Don’t take any supplements or caffeine before your scan
  • Don’t exercise until after your scan

If your scan is in the afternoon, please ensure you

  • Fast for 3-4 hours
  • Empty bowels/bladder before your scan
  • Hydrate well during the day (2-3 litres of water), but ensure your last glass of water is no later than an hour before your scan
  • Don’t take any supplements or have any caffeine before your scan
  • Don’t exercise until after your scan

Recommended best scan practice

  • Ensure your outside factors, such as food and carbohydrate volume and medications, stay as they would be usually.
  • Do not consume alcohol within 24-48 hours prior to your scan
  • If you are female, take note of where you are in your menstrual cycle for consistency of readings
  • Ensure subsequent scans are at the same time of day – this will support the accuracy of repeated results
  • Scans every 6-8 weeks will give you good information as to changes you are making to your health and fitness, and keep you motivated!
