Youth Worker – Programmes and Mentoring

We’re looking for a capable and motivated Youth Worker to deliver high-quality programmes and provide effective mentoring support to young people across our services.

This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of programmes, initiatives, and events that promote active participation, personal development, and community connection for young people with a variety of needs and abilities. It also includes providing individualised mentoring support, working alongside young people to set goals, build confidence, and develop essential life skills.

Executive Assistant

We’re looking for a highly capable and organised Executive Assistant to work alongside our Chief Executive, providing trusted support across coordination, communication, and day-to-day operations.

Working closely with the Chief Executive, you will help bring structure, clarity, and follow-through across a range of priorities.

This includes:

  • Managing calendar, scheduling, and meeting coordination
  • Preparing agendas, documents, and briefing materials
  • Tracking actions and ensuring timely follow-through
  • Drafting correspondence, reports, and key communications
  • Maintaining organised systems, files, and workflow processes

This is an opportunity to:

  • Work closely with senior leadership in a purpose-driven organisation
  • Contribute to meaningful work that supports young people and community wellbeing
  • Be part of a team that is collaborative, values-led, and focused on making a difference

10–15 hours per week (flexible across the week)

Personal Trainer / Gym Instructor

The Y Southland is looking for an enthusiastic Personal Trainer & Gym Instructor to join our friendly, fast‑paced fitness team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment, enjoys being part of a team, and wants to grow as a fitness professional within a supportive, community‑driven organisation. 

This is a dual opportunity role offering stability through gym instruction hours and flexibility to grow your Personal Training business.

Casual Cleaner

We’re looking for a Casual Cleaner to join our Health & Fitness Centre team. In this role, you’ll help maintain the high standards that make our facility safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for all members and visitors. 

Working on an as-needed basis, your efforts will ensure every person who walks through our doors has a positive experience. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
