Memberships

At the Y we have a range of gym memberships available. Plus we’re not for profit, which means any profit generated from the gym is invested back into the local Southland community via Y services and facilities.

All memberships (subject to terms and conditions) include

Adult

• Weekly (no set term, cancel anytime): $14.99 p/week
• Annual (payment required up front, 12 month term): $700 – save 10%

Family

Our family memberships covers 2 adults living under the same roof, and up to three children/young people aged between 6 and 19 years who are living in your home.

Your family needs to have payments coming from one account each week, or pay in one lump sum.

Children under 14 can use the gym equipment but must always be within arm’s reach of a parent or guardian. Our trainers can set kids up with an appropriate programme.

Duo Membership

Our new Duo Membership is designed for any two people who sign up at the same time, whether you’re partners, friends, siblings, flatmates, or training buddies. Enjoy the motivation, accountability, and support of achieving your health and fitness goals together, while each person maintains their own membership. Join as a duo and start your journey side by side.

Student

Valid student ID card required.

Community Service Card holders

Show your Community Services card at reception.

Memberships for young people

Teen Gym
For those aged 12-14 years we have Teen Gym. This membership allows gym access between 3.30pm and 5pm Monday to Friday, where our instructors are on hand to help out. Memberships are $7.95 p/week.

15+
For those aged 15, you can join on a student membership, however you can only access the gym during staffed hours (7am-9pm Monday-Friday and 8am-12noon Saturday).

16+
For those aged 16+ you can join on a student membership, if you have a valid student ID. This will entitle you to 24/7 access.

Young people on family memberships
Young people aged 6+ are welcome to be included within family memberships, but anyone aged 14 or under MUST be accompanied by an adult (unless they are attending Teen Gym).

Seniors

We offer a range of flexible membership options for seniors to suit different lifestyles and budgets, including convenient weekly memberships, great-value annual memberships, and concession memberships. Whether you visit occasionally or make fitness part of your regular routine, there’s an option to fit your needs.

Five day trial/pass

Try the Y for five days, or keep fit while visiting Invercargill, with this pass. Please note that this pass does not include 24/7 access and is only valid during our staffed hours (Monday-Friday 7am-9pm and Saturdays 8am to 12noon). It includes group fitness classes, and access to the sauna and the climbing and bouldering wall.

• $25 for a five day pass

10 visit concession card

This can be used over a period of a year, but is only able to be used during our staffed hours (Monday to Friday 7am-9pm, not including public holidays, and Saturdays 8am to 12noon).

• $90 for 10 sessions (expires within 12 months of purchase)

Single entry

Single entry access is only available during our staffed hours, and allows you access to the gym, group fitness classes, the sauna, and the climbing and bouldering wall.

• $15 per entry

Important info

There are no joining or cancellation fees on our weekly membership options. Our annual memberships are for 12 month terms and payment up front is required. Annual memberships are not refundable. They are transferable, however the responsibility for transfer sits with the member and is subject to terms and conditions and transfers are at the discretion of Y management.
