Y GOALS
Intensive support with literacy and numeracy
Gain opportunities and life skills with Y GOALS: an intensive literacy and numeracy programme.
Y Goals is designed to build essential literacy and numeracy skills. It aims to equip learners with the tools they need to grab opportunities in education, employment and life. As learners progress through the programme, it not only builds literacy and numeracy skills, but develops digital literacy and the foundational skills needed to “learn how to learn”.
Learners will develop:
- Knowing when and how to seek help
- Self awareness
- Goal setting
- Staying motivated
- Managing time
- Reflecting on progress
ILN is open to
- those aged between 16 and 24 years (or 15 with an exemption certificate)
- NZ citizens or permanent residents
- Learners who are not enrolled elsewhere
This programme will support you to pursue future opportunities such as
- NZ Certificate in Foundation Skills Level 1
- Transition support to further study or employment
Please note that enrolment into this programme is subject to a Literacy/Numeracy Assessment.
